Checkout Loom terms of service: the agreement behind every done-for-you automation build
Checkout Loom terms of service explain what you are buying, what we will do, what we need from you and what happens if something goes wrong, in the form of an ecommerce automation agreement that every order, quote and project shares, and these done for you automation terms start each section with a one-sentence summary so that you can see the point before you read the detail.
Most store owners never need to read past this part. These six points describe how the relationship works day to day, and the sections below give the full detail.
You buy a defined build
Each service has plans and options with a fixed scope. What you chose at checkout, or what your written quote says, is exactly what we build, and anything else is quoted before it starts.
You pay once, in US dollars
The amount shown at checkout or in your quote is the full fee for that scope. We charge no hourly rate, no revenue share and no monthly fee for the build itself.
We commit to a delivery window
Every plan shows a delivery window before you pay. The window starts when payment has cleared, your brief is complete and we have access, and we tell you promptly if a date is at risk.
Two revision rounds are included
You can ask for changes to the copy, design and settings we deliver, and the revision policy explains how a round works and what counts as a change in scope.
You own what we build
The flows, copy, templates and rules built for your store belong to you once you have paid in full, while we keep our general methods and tools.
Thirty days of fixes follow launch
If something we built stops working as described, we fix it at no cost during the thirty days after launch, and we explain what the thirty days cover.

01Agreeing to these terms
By ordering a build or using this site you agree to these terms, so please read them before you buy.
These terms form the agreement between you and Checkout Loom for every order, quote and project. Ordering through checkout, approving a written quote or starting to use our services means you accept them. If you order for a business, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Our services are for businesses and working professionals who are legally able to enter a contract.
You must be at least eighteen, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract. Our services are designed for people who run or work for online stores and similar businesses. If you order for a company, the company is the customer, and you confirm that you may bind it.
You must have the right to give us access to the stores, platforms and tools you ask us to work on. If someone else owns an account, you are responsible for getting their permission before you grant us access.
03What we provide
We design, build, test and hand over the automation described in your plan, options or written quote.
Each service has a page that lists its plans, what each plan includes and the optional extras. The order summary you see at checkout, or the written quote we send, is the definition of your scope. We build only what that scope describes. Anything else is a change, and changes are quoted and agreed in writing before we start them.
We use AI to draft copy, replies and rules, and our team reviews, edits and tests what we deliver before you see it. We work in writing, inside your own accounts and with the narrowest access a job needs, as explained in our security and access practices.
We do not provide legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice. Where an automation touches a rule that affects your business, such as advertising claims, consumer rights or data protection, you remain responsible for deciding what is right for your store and for taking advice where you need it.
04Ordering and quotes
You order by checking out or by approving a written quote, and a written quote stays valid for fourteen days.
You can order any plan from its service page. If you need something beyond the plans shown, use the quote form. A written quote states the scope, the fee, the delivery window and the access we need, and it stays valid for fourteen days. After that we may need to re-confirm availability and scope.
Your order is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation that records exactly what you ordered. If we cannot accept an order, for example because the scope is unclear or the platform does not allow the automation, we tell you before you pay or refund what you paid under the refund policy.
05What we need from you
We need accurate information, timely access and prompt feedback, because the delivery window depends on them.
A complete brief and accurate information about your store, products, policies and brand.
Feedback on drafts and tests within five working days, so the work keeps moving.
The right to use the content, data and brand materials you give us, and the rights to the products and services your store sells.
If access or feedback is late, the delivery window pauses for as long as we are waiting, as explained on the delivery and turnaround page. If we are waiting for a long time, we tell you in writing what we need and what happens to the schedule.
06Delivery and acceptance
We deliver within the window for your plan, you review the result, and the build is accepted when it works as described.
The delivery window starts when payment has cleared, your brief is complete and we have access. We deliver the build into your own store and tools, walk you through it in writing and hand over the playbook.
The build counts as accepted when it works as described in your scope, or ten working days after delivery if you have not raised an issue, whichever comes first. If you raise an issue that is covered by your scope, we fix it under the support and warranty page and the revision policy.
07Fees and payment
Fees are one-time, in US dollars, and nothing extra is added at checkout.
The amount shown at checkout or in your written quote is the full fee for the scope described. We do not charge a revenue share or a monthly fee for the build. The subscriptions of your own platforms and apps, such as your email platform or helpdesk, are separate and are billed by their providers.
See the payment terms for the methods we accept, when payment is due and how receipts work. Taxes that apply in your country are your responsibility unless the law says otherwise.
08Revisions and changes
Two revision rounds are included, and anything beyond the agreed scope is quoted first.
Every build includes two rounds of revisions on the copy, design and settings we deliver. A change that adds new flows, channels or features is a change in scope, and we quote it before starting. The revision policy explains what counts as a round and how to request one.
09Ownership of what we build
The flows, copy, templates and rules built for your store belong to you once you have paid in full.
When you have paid in full, you own the deliverables made specifically for your store. We keep ownership of our general methods, tools, templates and know-how, and we give you a licence to use anything of ours that is part of the build for as long as you run it. The intellectual property policy and the licensing page cover this in full.
You keep ownership of everything you give us, including your products, images, brand and data. You give us permission to use those materials only to deliver your project.
10Third-party platforms and AI output
Your platforms, apps and AI providers have their own rules, and AI-written content needs your review.
Our builds run inside platforms we do not control, such as your store platform, email tool and helpdesk. If one of them changes its rules, limits or fees, we help you adapt, and larger changes may need a new quote. You must follow the terms of every platform you use.
AI-generated copy and replies are reviewed by our team before delivery, and you remain responsible for approving what is published to your customers. AI can make mistakes, which is why every build includes review steps and tests, and why we ask you to check anything that makes a claim about a product.
11Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful.
You agree not to ask us to build, and not to use anything we build for, activity that is illegal, deceptive, abusive or harmful. That includes fake reviews, misleading product claims, sending messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, discrimination, harassment and anything that breaks the rules of the platforms you use.
We may decline or stop work that we reasonably believe breaks these rules, and we tell you in writing why. In that case the refund policy explains what happens to the fee.
12Support and warranty
We fix anything we built that stops working as described for thirty days after launch.
The support and warranty page explains what the thirty days cover, what they do not and what the optional ninety-day optimisation program adds. Fixes are free during the thirty days when the problem is in what we built and not in something that changed outside the build.
13Confidentiality
We treat your store information as confidential and expect the same from you about our methods.
We keep your business information, store data and project files confidential and use them only to deliver your project. You agree not to share our non-public methods, prompts and internal tools beyond what the licence allows. These duties continue after the project ends, apart from information that becomes public through no fault of either side.
14Results and limits of responsibility
We are responsible for doing the work properly, but we cannot promise particular results, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid.
Results such as recovered revenue, saved hours or higher rankings depend on your traffic, products, market and choices, so we do not promise them, as the disclaimer explains, and we promise a working, tested build delivered inside the stated window, with thirty days of fixes.
To the extent the law allows, neither side is responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost business, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the build the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited, including responsibility for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15Cancelling and ending the agreement
You can cancel before work starts for a full refund, and either side can end the agreement if these terms are seriously breached.
Under the refund policy, a full refund applies only if you cancel before we have done any work. If we are unable to deliver, we agree with you in writing the value of the work done and refund the remaining balance.
We may end an order if you seriously breach these terms and do not fix the problem after we ask, or if working with you would be unlawful or unsafe. In that case no refund is due for work already started. You may end an order if we seriously breach these terms and do not fix the problem after you ask.
16If we disagree
Tell us first, and we will work to resolve it within ten working days.
If something goes wrong, contact us through the contact form and describe the problem. We acknowledge it within one working day and aim to resolve it within ten. If we cannot agree, either side can use whatever other routes the law of the place where you live provides, and nothing in these terms takes away your right to go to a court or a consumer body where that right cannot be removed.
17Changes to these terms
We announce important changes on this page, and orders already placed keep the terms they started under.
We may update these terms as our services change. The version on this page at the time you order applies to that order. Material changes are announced here, and where we have your email address we tell you directly.
18General
The usual housekeeping: these terms are the whole agreement, and one invalid part does not cancel the rest.
These terms, together with your order summary or written quote and the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us for that order. If a court decides that one part is not valid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your order to someone else without our written agreement, and we may use subcontractors but remain responsible for their work.
Our commitments
Six commitments behind these terms
Terms describe what is allowed, and these commitments describe how we behave inside them.
We write the scope down
Before work starts you receive a written scope that says what will be built, tested and handed over, so nobody has to guess later.
We tell you early
If a date is at risk or a scope needs to change, we say so in writing as soon as we know, with the reason and the options.
We test before we hand over
Every build is tested on your real records before it goes live, and the results of the tests are written down for you.
You keep the keys
Access stays in accounts you own, is limited to what a job needs and is revoked within five working days of the project closing.
A person answers
Every message is read and answered by a person within one working day, and every decision is confirmed in writing.
We do not overpromise
We do not promise revenue, rankings or savings, because they depend on your store, and we explain what we can promise instead.
How an order runs
The life of an order, from checkout to the end of the thirty days
These terms make more sense when you can see where each one applies, so here is the path every order follows and who acts at each stage.
Stage
What happens
Who acts
1. Order or quote
You check out, or you approve a written quote, and we confirm the scope in writing.
You, then us.
2. Brief and access
You send your facts and grant the access we listed. The delivery window starts once payment has cleared, the brief is complete and access works.
You.
3. Plan
We write the plan with the data, rules, approvals and tests, and you approve it before building starts.
Us, then you.
4. Build and test
We build inside your accounts with narrow access, test on your real records and fix what the tests show.
Us.
5. Delivery
We deliver the build, hand over the playbook and ask you to review it.
Us, then you.
6. Acceptance
The build is accepted when it works as described, or ten working days after delivery if you raise nothing.
You.
7. Revisions and fixes
You use your two revision rounds and, for thirty days after launch, we fix anything we built that stops working as described.
You and us.
8. Close
We revoke our access within five working days and remove project files after ninety days, as the privacy policy explains.
Us.

Questions
Common questions about these terms
Twelve short answers to what buyers ask before they order. If yours is missing, send it through the contact form and a person will reply within one working day.
Do I need to sign anything to order?
No, checking out or approving a written quote means you accept these terms, and you receive a written confirmation that records exactly what you ordered.
Who owns the automation after it is built?
You do, once you have paid in full. The flows, copy, templates and rules built for your store are yours to use and change. See the licensing page for where you can use them.
What if I need something that is not in my plan?
Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted first. Use the contact form or ask for a new quote, and nothing is added without your approval.
Do you promise a specific revenue result?
No, results depend on your store, traffic and market. We promise a working, tested build delivered inside the stated window, with thirty days of fixes, and the disclaimer explains the rest.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, cancelling before we have done any work earns a full refund. Once work has started, the fee is not refundable, unless we are unable to deliver, in which case you receive what remains after the agreed value of the work done, and the refund policy has the details.
What happens if I am late with feedback or access?
The delivery window pauses while we wait and restarts when you reply. We tell you in writing what we need, and the delivery page explains how the clock works.
How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds are included, and a change that adds new flows, channels or features is a change in scope that we quote before starting.
What does the thirty-day warranty cover?
Anything we built that stops working as described. It does not cover changes made by someone else or by a platform after delivery, although we will help you adapt.
Can I use the automation on another store?
The licensing page explains where you can use what we build. In short, it belongs to the store it was built for, and using it elsewhere needs a conversation first.
Is the AI in my build safe to use?
Our team reviews and tests AI-written copy and replies before delivery, and every build includes approval steps. You remain responsible for approving what is published to your customers.
What law applies to these terms?
These terms do not take away rights that the law of the place where you live gives you, and nothing in them stops you from using the routes that law provides if we cannot agree.
How will I know if the terms change?
The date at the top changes, important changes are announced on this page and where we have your email address we tell you directly. Orders already placed keep the terms they started under.
